What is XCaliber Container XPRESS?
We are proud to introduce XCaliber Container XPRESS, which provides our valued customers an opportunity to create a custom shipping container with basic modifications and fast turnaround. Containers and modifications that qualify for XPRESS are a favorable choice as they complete production within 72 hours and are delivered to the customer within 7-10 business days after completion.
(XPRESS orders must be paid in full BEFORE the work order is submitted to begin production.)
What Shipping Containers Qualify for XPRESS?
Wind & Watertight Shipping Containers
About: Wind & Watertight Shipping Containers are used containers that are guaranteed on delivery to not have any visible holes or damage at the time of delivery. Wind & Watertight Containers do not come with XCaliber's 1-Year Warranty against leaks and rodents. Wind & Watertight Containers have made many trips across the ocean and will show signs of previous use including rust, dents, dings, floor scratches, scrapes, and patches.
Basic Refurbished Shipping Containers
About: Basic Refurbished Shipping Containers are hand selected for the refurbishing process due to their high-quality used condition. Basic Refurbished Shipping Containers undergo XCaliber's 10-Point inspection and Repair process. During this process, visible rust is grinded off and primed, cargo doors are serviced to ensure proper function, leak testing is performed, and a new exterior coat of "XCaliber Grey" metal paint is added. Although they go through this process and meet are quality standards, they are still used containers and may feature sings of use including dents, dings, floor scrapes, wall scratches, and patches on the roof or walls. Basic Refurbished Containers include XCaliber's 1-Year Service warranty against leaks and rodents.
Premium Refurbished Shipping Containers
About: Premium Refurbished Shipping Containers are the highest quality used containers that we offer. They have had light to moderate use transporting cargo and show the least signs of use compared to our other used shipping containers. These units have been hand selected for the refurbishing process due to their high-quality used condition. Premium Refurbished Containers undergo our 10-Point Inspection and Repair process. During this process, visible rust is grinded off and primed, cargo doors are serviced to ensure proper function, leak testing is performed, and a fresh coat of exterior metal paint in "Lover's Leap" (tan color) is applied. Although Premium Refurbished Containers go through this process and meet our quality standards, they still may show signs of use including dents, dings, floor scrapes, and scratches. Premium Refurbished Shipping Containers include XCaliber's 1-Year Service Warranty against leaks and rodents and feature a lock box on the cargo doors for added security.
New 1-Trip Shipping Containers
About: New 1-Trip Shipping Containers are the newest and highest-quality shipping containers available in the United States today. These shipping containers are considered to be in new condition, with only one load of cargo shipped in them previously. New 1-Trip Shipping Containers may feature minor scrapes, or small dents may be visible. The container floor may show signs of a forklift previously loading/unloading pallets and minor scratches. These shipping containers will feature their original factory paint color, which may vary from light tan, light gray, dark green, dark gray, or blue. New 1-Trip Shipping Containers include XCaliber's 1-Year Warranty against leaks and rodents and feature a lock box on the cargo doors for added security.
What Modifications Qualify for XPRESS?
Accessibility Modifications:
Adding a door to your shipping container is a great option to make the shipping container more accessible. It's known that older and heavily used units may have cargo doors that are harder to open, so adding a steel door will make accessing your belongings easier. Another great benefit of adding a steel door is they feature keyed entry which adds an additional security layer to the steel container.

Security Modifications:
If you are worried about your possessions, XCaliber offers security modifications that are available for XPRESS. If you have chosen to have a steel door added, you can also opt in for a door security bar. The security bar is made from steel and will swing across the width of the door and includes a lockbox at the end that allows for a padlock. We also offer a lock box modification, which is a steel box that is welded to the cargo doors and allows you to place a padlock underneath. (New 1-Trip Containers and Premium Refurbished Containers include a lock box.)

Temperature Control Modification:
When a shipping container is exposed to sunlight and extreme temperatures, the inside temperature can exceed the exterior temperature by 15 degrees or more and can reach as high as 135 degrees. Therefore, adding a solar roof vent is a beneficial modification for your shipping container. Solar roof vents create airflow that will help regulate the temperature during the summer months.

Other Modifications:
XCaliber has also added a wild game hoists and shelving to the modification list for XPRESS. Wild game hoists provide an efficient way to hoist wild game into the air with a crank for cleaning. The wild game hoist can support up to 350 pounds. Our half shelving and full shelving modifications are a great way to improve storage organization in your shipping container. Half shelfing spans the length of 1 side wall on the inside of the container, while full shelving spans the length of both side walls in the container.
